It's safe to say that most of us have a degree of postural imbalance and that we are completely unaware of it.

But what is good posture?

It is defined as the position in which you hold your body upright against gravity while standing, sitting or lying down. Good posture involves training your body to stand, walk, sit and lie in positions where the least strain is placed on supporting muscles and ligaments during movement or weight-bearing activities.

Many of us have a lifestyle that involves sitting for long periods, be it behind the wheel of a car or behind a desk. It is easy to get into bad postural habits which can lead to slouching and discomfort and, ultimately, long-term damage.

Even the way in which we stand or walk can, over time, cause permanent damage to our bones, joints and soft tissue if not corrected.

Even regular gym users are not immune to the effects of poor form and posture. In my years as a gym user and Personal Trainer, I have seen some staggering examples of people unknowingly laying the foundation for years of future aches and pains.

A postural analysis will identify any areas of weakness or imbalance that you have.

The results will be compiled into a report along with suggestions and a corrective exercise prescription for you to follow.

Sessions can be taken at your home or within my partner club, TOTAL FITNESS, Warrington.

Please note that you do NOT require a gym membership. All gym entrance fees are included.

See the Pricing page for information on fees.
